FATIGUE PANTS

"FATIGUE PANTS" takes its shape from the U.S. Army HBT fatigue trousers — hard-wearing herringbone twill cut for everyday field use. Made in Italy from a Japanese canvas woven in Hamamatsu, the cloth is dyed by hand in small batches and dried in the open air, where the region's dry winds and sun draw the colour down unevenly. The result is a surface that never reads quite uniform: subtle irregularities, soft wrinkles and shifts in tone that sit closer to raw cloth than to finished. A double-layer front and a wide, straight leg carry the military silhouette, with leather accents at the pockets and a single diagonal welt set at the back. A functional military cut, given its character by the way the fabric is made.
